THE RULES:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like a favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Anything.
2. I'll respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the completely honest answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1. What brought you to Miami?
Our station wagon. *smirks*
Ok, ok, kidding aside, I've got a daughter in college and another away at camp for two weeks. So me and my lovely wife Lillian thought we would use this opportunity to get away for a change of scenery for awhile. She's sure enjoying the Miami sun and beaches. I'm not as used to the heat or the sun, but I do like that I can get lost on my bike if I want to.

2. Have you always been a ME?
No, I was a chef previously. Worked at an Italian restaurant for a couple of years.

3. Are you one by choice or by circumstance?
Both. I do love to cook but the stress of the job wasn't something I needed or wanted. Lillian finally told me that I should make a change, and I've never regretted it. I love my job.

4. What was your worst day on the job?
Most likely the day we had to autopsy the body that one of our guys was suspected of killing. Everyone connected with the case had to be asked to leave the morgue and their labs so the others could process everything. Tensions were pretty high that day. Thankfully, Hawkes was cleared of all charges.

5. Outside of family, who are you close to?
I've worked with some of the same people for years, they are practically my second family. Mac and Peyton especially.

From Calleigh

1. How did you meet your wife?
Lillian? That's a funny story...we bumped into each other on a bus accidentally and found out we were both going to the same murder mystery dinner in town. I walked her home and asked if I could see her again. Things sort of snowballed from there, we just seemed to get each other. After my first divorce, it was something I needed, someone to get me.

2. Is there any place you'd like to visit but never have?
I've always wondered if one could perform an autopsy in zero gravity...

3. What's your favorite place in New York?
Central Park...it's a great place to walk or read...just to be away from the traffic for awhile.

4. What do you like to do on your off time?
Not much of that. I do enjoy the art of fencing but I usually end up watching it instead of doing it. I have a motorcycle that I like to ride around on and try to get lost and see if I can find my way back. Which is another reason I think I'm going to like Miami. It's so much more open than New York.

5. Miami Dolphins or New York Giants? *g*
I assume those are sports teams as I have never seen any Giants roaming around New York. *smirk* I'm afraid I don't follow much sports.

So I've heard, I'll have to find some while I'm down here in Miami. :)

1. What's your name?
2. What is your job here?
3. Favorite place to be when not working?
4. Do you have kids?
5. Any tips as to what one should not do as an M.E. here at the Miami Dade Crime Lab?

1) A murder mystery dinner, like where you solve the crime and you're a part of it? I've always wanted to do one of those. What a fun story.

2) Did you know that there is a space camp at the Cape? You might, if you asked nicely, be able to try this. Though I'm not sure how they mimic zero gravity besides the few second plane ride the astronauts go on.

4) Bike week in Daytona is this week I think. You and your wife should go up there. It's definitely something that you have to experience for yourself.

5) They're football teams. Nice answer by the way. I like the way you think. *g*

Horatio is showing me around the lab in my intro post at miami_crime if you would like an official hello. :)

Well both Daytona and Kennedy Space Center are about a couple hundred miles north of Miami but they're easily a day trip away.

I'll do that. Nothing beats an official hello. :)
