The rules are: Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
1. Glasses
I only really need glasses for looking at things up close. Something that creeps up on you with age. Everyone seems to enjoy the fact that my glasses split apart in the middle due to the magnent that holds them in place. I tried for a couple of years to use regular glasses...they never stayed on right and I was always losing them or forgetting where they were and they would break. These seem to be just right for me. *snaps his glasses with a smile*
2. Cooking
Before I became an M.E., I was working as a chef in an italian restaurant in Manhattan. I've always loved cooking but after awhile, it was taking the fun out of it to have such a high stress job. My wife Lillian could see it was taking it's toll on me and so it was actually her who suggested that I make a switch. I've been much happier ever since. I still cook at home, my daughters say I make the best lasangna in the world.
3. Disturbing thoughts
...wondering if you could do an autopsy on yourself is disturbing? Maybe a little odd, but I don't think that's unusual really. It could be done technically...bit of local anesthetic...
4. Children
I love my girls so very much. Samantha, who's 21, has just left us for art school, so Lillian and I are feeling a bit of the empty nest syndrome. She takes after her mom, very creative and caring about everyone. Michelle on the other hand takes after me. She's a bit odd and thinking aloud at times too. But she just discovered boys...*sigh* so that's been an adventure and a half. At least she knows what will happen if she ever brings any home with her...*is very protective*
5. Radiation
(rats, the mun hasn't had a chance to see this episode...writing blind here)
Sorry, I gave everyone a scare with that. I'm alright now. The flowers were lovely that everyone was sending. It was odd to think about dying when death seems to be part of my line of work. I guess I never really have it so personal like that.
And to think, I deprived some poor M.E. the pleasure of my own autopsy. *smirk*
